If you don't already know (which you should), His Hero Is Gone was a crust band from Memphis, Tennessee. Their style was a combination of pissed as fuck hardcore punk and down-tuned sludge. Three members went on to form Tragedy but, in my opinion, they don't come close to matching the ferocity of His Hero Is Gone. Love it or get out.
