split

An interesting match up to say the least. This record features one side of spoken word from Mumia Abu-Jamal as well as Assata Shakur, Allen Ginsberg, Bob Dole and Jello Biafra. The other side is 25 minutes of Man is the Bastard's power violent sonic Skull assault. Certainly worth a listen.

no chance...

Absolutely scorching West Coast grindcore featuring the newest member of Bastard Noise, Aimee, on vocals. Grind freaks shouldn't pass up on this.

Filthy punk from Miami. Possibly featuring member(s) of Shitstorm. They certainly do live up to their name and shit riffs all over you for 14 minutes straight. Revel in it.

split with Xasthur

split with Crebain

This is for all of you who plan on walking through forests forests tonight(and every night). These splits contain some of Leviathan's best material, especially his side of the Xasthur split which more than makes up for the other half.

Get grim.

01:05

skate gore

Possibly the 12 best songs ever written about long days of skateboarding, smoking blunts and beating mall security guards into chunks of meat. All in slightly over 8 minutes.

Sunday, October 17, 2010

After a long line of grind nerds before me, I too am blessed with the mark.

Absolutely essential for anyone who likes riffs crawling as slow as molasses. Also, Star Wars. Did I mention Star Wars? Well, that too.

howling songs

This man is by far the most incredible songwriter who has graced my ears. Break out the wine and cigarettes and get ready for a slow, somber evening.

Currently having my mind blown by Suffering Mind's side of this split. Excuse me.

00:98

shapeshifter

Aaron Ross, who supplied vocals for Hella's There's No 666 In Outer Space, goes folk in his solo album. Expect quality lyrics, fantastic guitar playing, southern rock riffs and electronic drum breaks.

00:96

crush, kill, destroy

Does he use gang terms like 'set' for his friends or neighborhood? Does he have a gang name or alias like Death Snake, Big Dan, Hellfire, Will Smurf, Twin, Nacho, Viper, Mad Dog, Clown, Loco or Baby Chico?

demo tape

Faiza of Hatred Surge's other band. Unsurprisingly they also rule.

I had a weird dream where I tried to buy this tape off of her in Detroit or some other city I've never set foot in. It had constantly shifting roads that seemed determined to keep me from enjoying the fast, angry music inside the tape. It involved a lot of me driving around and asking her for directions. I didn't end up getting it.

So I came this band recently mostly because of their fucking awesome name, I stayed because of the face crushing grind.

city of caterpillar

really surprised I hadn't posted this earlier. If you don't know, this is some fantastic epic screamo. If you dig Circle Takes the Square or pg. 99, get into it if you for some weird reason haven't already.
